Problems with Schreiber / Hygena / Servis / Nardi Integrated Upright Freezer

Do you have one of these models? 

Schreiber APP6403, APP64, APM6222.

Hygena APP6403, APP64, APM6222.

Servis M7904.

Nardi AT120

All the above models have a common set of symptoms when they are a few years old.

The symptoms can be either:-

1) The Freezer has stopped working and is completely quiet.

2) It fails 'off' as in (1) above, but the fault is intermittant, meaning that from time to time it comes back on again.

3) It fails 'off' as in (1), but if you tap the top fascia (above the door), it will jump back into life.
